Church School Vision
Governors and staff at Cury C of E Primary School believe the personal development of pupils, spiritually, morally, socially and culturally plays a significant part in their ability to learn and achieve. We therefore aim to provide an education that provides children with opportunities to explore and develop their own values and beliefs, spiritual awareness, high standards of personal behaviour, a positive caring attitude towards other people, an understanding of their social and cultural traditions and an appreciation of the diversity and richness of other cultures. Thus enabling every member of the community to ‘live life in all its fullness’.
To Live Life, Life in all its Fullness. John 10:10
- As a Church of England School near the sea in Cornwall, we aim to inspire our children through the beauty of creation
- The school is in the centre of a coastal community and promotes strong links with the parish
- We support the provision of inclusive, broad and balanced curriculum, recognising the individuality of each child and fostering tolerance and mutual respect for all members of society
- We aim to instil Christian beliefs and values as our children begin their own life’s journey
Our School Parable
The Parable of the Hidden Treasure
“The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he hid it again, and then in his joy went and sold all he had and bought that field” (Matthew 13:44)
Being a church school, we are whole heartedly committed to putting faith and spiritual development at the heart of everything we do. Our Christian school values of Compassion, Kindness, Determination, Responsibility, Respect & Truthfulness underpin the educational experience that we offer.
